First things first FAQs
Q: How does this work?
A: It depends what service you're looking for. We will set up a Meet & Greet when you first contact me. At a M&G we will discuss, in depth, any questions, comments and concerns you have.

Q: For the Meet & Greet, where do we meet?
A: Usually in your home.

Q: How do I contact you?
A: Call, text, e-mail, etc. Any of these are acceptable. My favorite is text. I'm a big texter. Plus, if I'm busy or not at home, then I can get back to you at my leisure.

Q: Do you do Dog Boarding?
A: Not at this time. Ever since my husband's dog attacked a puppy, I refuse to have any strange animals in my home. It's for safety reasons. Despite all training and exposure, we have a dog aggressive dog. My dream is to own a home with a guest house, pool house or some kind of separate building so I can safely Dog Board again.

FAQs about House Sitting

Q: Where will my dog be when you're not in my home?
A: I will follow whatever you normally do for your dog.

Q: When will you not be in my home while House Sitting?
A: I work at the Watertown Humane Society part-time. My shifts are only 3 hours long. Before and after work, I will be in your home. When I House Sit, I will still schedule other clients but only Drop-In visits and Walks. With those, your dog wouldn't be alone for more than 45 minutes.

Q: Where will you sleep?
A: I prefer to sleep on my client's couches. If you're uncomfortable with that and rather me sleep in a guest bedroom, that's fine.

Q: Will you do other small things around the house?
A: Absolutely! Sometimes clients want me to get the mail, take out the garbage and recycling, water their plants or pick up poop. That's fine! To be totally honest, if I stay in your home for a week or more, I do a lot more than that. When a client goes away on vacation, I believe, they should come back to a home that is cleaner than when they left it. I try to go above and beyond to keep my clients happy.

Q: How will you get in & out of my home?
A: That's really up to you. You can give me a key or a garage door opener. If you have something else in mind, we can talk about that. I'm very flexible.

Q: It's a little weird to have someone living in my house while I'm gone...
A: I couldn't agree more. As a rule of thumb, I always act like all my clients have hidden cameras in their homes. Most of us have security cameras around their home now anyways. I will be the best house guest you could ask for. If I wasn't, my business would not be as successful as it is.

FAQs about Drop-In Visits
Q: How will you get in & out of my home?
A: That's really up to you. You can give me a key or a garage door opener. If you have something else in mind, we can talk about that. I'm very flexible.

Q: Besides letting my dog out to go potty, will you do anything else?
A: Drop-In Visits are all about being quick. If you want me to fill up their water bowl or feed them, I can definitely do that. Got something else in mind? Just ask.

FAQs about Walks
Q: Are the walks really a half an hour?
A: Yes! If it's the first few times I'm walking your dog, then I'm not familiar with your neighborhood yet. It might take me a little bit to get a route down that's actually 30 minutes. Sometimes it might be about 25 minutes until I find the right schedule. If the walk isn't a full 30 minutes, then I do stay for a little bit to make up that time just petting your dog and giving him/her attention.

Other Questions
Q: Tell me more about Ear Cleaning.
A: I moisten a Q-tip in Witch Hazel and gently clean out the ear canal. I do this weekly to my own dogs. I use Witch Hazel for cleaning pets' ears out because it's a natural astringent. It dries out the ear, eliminating oily residue, gunky build-up, and/or too much yeast growing in the ear canal.

Q: When should I book you?
A: Usually my clients will book me 1-2 months in advance; but for Holidays and Summer, I tend to fill up 3-4 in advance. I am sometimes available on short notice.

Q: Will you Pet Sit other animals besides cats & dogs?
A: I do it all! Dogs and cats are my specialty; however I have owned/Pet Sat for: birds, mice, gerbils, hamsters, a variety of lizards, etc. I usually charge a cat rate for these animals.

Q: Is there anything you don't do?!
A: - I am unable to offer Dog Boarding services at this time.
- I am allergic to hay and certain types of grass. If you need me to take care of a critter that needs these things, that's still ok. I take allergy medicine and can use gloves to touch those particular things. As long as I don't have to deal with an entire bail of hay! Which brings me to my next point.
- I typically don't care for farm animals; including: Cows, bulls, pigs, goats, etc.
